I'm not sure how to fix it but I think the issue/reason for this is that 
Aliased titles exist as if they where real tiddlers so when you click the 
link "ThisIsAnAlias" the system opens "ThisIsAnAlias" but than the Alias 
plugin hijacks that call and instead displays "HasAlias" which as far as 
the tab-bar is cornered is not want just got opened so you get nothing 
selected and "HasAlias" effectively opened in the background.
