You remember "Code and backticks"? https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/tiddlywikidev/zNxAhIuMUns
I was a bit thinking about it and as I'm still always a bit unsure about all the possible funny character combinations TW offers, I again thought, we should look for more standardizing it. At the moment I know about these: [[ link ]] ''bold''** //italic//** __underscore__ ^^superscript^^ ,,subscript,, ~~strikethrough~~ @@.class styled block @@ You see: Always 2 characters. Exceptions are lists, headlines and code. While I would like to stick to headlines and lists, I'd propose to just use ``code`` for code text. Additionally I propse to get rid of trippling thos characters for blocks. I think it's far easier to define that the characters, standing alone on the line, define the start of a block. So instead of ``` code block ``` We would simply have `` code block `` and then we could even have // italic block // And then we could also extend the @@.class syntax to //.class some special italic // What do you think? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWikiDev" group.
