HI Dennis In fact the original problem in this thread has now been fixed; importing tiddlers no longer updates their modified dates.
You can use the same drag-and-drop technique to import tiddlers from classic TW documents, but you're still left with the incompatibility issues noted on the front page of five.tiddlywiki.com: the syntax of wikitext, macros, themes and so on has changed substantially for TiddlyWiki5, so there will be some manual mangling to get content upgraded.
