Thanks for your kind answers, and very interesting plugins Eric - thank you!
However, my point was this: Why is more "directness" for the fundamental feature of creating a tiddler not considered important? I'm raising the question because TW5 is about to repeat the exact same required tiddler creation procedure - and I'm guessing this is "more unquestioned than intentional" (no, Jeremy?). The issue is too fundamental, and affects too many, to not bring up IMO. Not saying everyone "suffers" from this slowness but then I don't think most users would mind if this *was* smoother (by default/core). But I think that some users *do *suffer from this and I think we might miss out on users who dismiss TW because they expected something snappier for a note book. <:-) On Monday, November 18, 2013 9:17:12 PM UTC+1, Mat wrote: > > (Yes, I'm provoking you to read this). > > All forms of TW are too slow for comfortably using it as a notebook... > which is ironic considering it is described explicitly as that: a notebook. > Try using it for taking notes during a lecture or brainstorm or just any > activity that demands many tiddlers, and you'll see.
