I think, this won't work well with TW. At least, if you want to contribute to the core. You can use MIT, BSD and even CC-BY licensed code to be included into the TW core, since TW is BSD. But as soon as you use GPL-licensed code and want to include it into the core it won't work anymore. GPL needs to be "free" and imo can not be converted to BSD. BSD allows you to be "closed source" if you decide so ...
