I'm not a developer, as you know, but I am keen to use mathematical equations in a way that will be stable going forward and this looks like a good option.
I have looked at Mathjax but would much prefer to have the rendering capability baked in to the single-file TW, which doesn't currently seem possible. If I can assist with testing I would be happy to help.
