I often find myself wanting to list a few things wihtout using bullets... but this is just not straightforward in TW5.
""" This is just not natural """ Hard line breaks is such a *basic* issue it really sould be possible without thinking about it. Imagine if you couldn't do a hard line break when writing with a pen... - ugh!? In this discussion <https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#%21searchin/tiddlywiki/hard$20linebreak/tiddlywiki/pU6rxeCvuLs/MOi-Teew87kJ> there seems to be an idea about using \\ but it does not seem to be implemented. Luckily, I should add - backslash is a complicated sign involving two fingers and probably also the eyes. How about using double periods + newline! This is.. much more.. natural Here are some arguments for this: - Double periods (plus newline) is not a combo used used for anything else. (Actually, if they *do* appear it is typically a misspelling so having it break the line there is even a help) - It is intuitive; single periods are associated with the end of sentences or end of lines. - At the same time, triple periods (...) mean a pausing or that something follows, ie a bit "list-ish". - You would use this formatting at the instant the need occurs, ie. you don't have to back up in the text to add e.g the current """ signs. - Still very easy to read in edit view. Could we pleeease add this? The current solutions can be kept, but please at least *add* this option also. Frankly, I think this is superior. <:-) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWikiDev" group.
