There is an issue / discussion at github:  
https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5/issues/443, which is set to 
"wontfix" for the core ... because we can't.

In the thread here and in the github issue, there are very good examples, 
about the pros and cons, driven by very specific usecases. 
There just isn't a satisfying solution for everyone. 

My personal favourite still is the white-space: pre-line; CSS setting for a 
paragraph / tiddler,  that only contains text. 
As Jeremy noted, this isn't a general solution, because it may conflict 
with widgets in a valid paragraph. ...

So it's just a hint. May be worth some experiments.
