Encouraged from that people feel the same way I do about Cancel and Close, as discussed in another thread, I'm proposing two further "everyday-features" for TW5 that I use in all my TWC's: Simon Bairds SaveCloseTiddlerPlugin <http://mptw.tiddlyspot.com/#SaveCloseTiddlerPlugin>. This provides two extra toolbar commands, saveCloseTiddler and cancelCloseTiddler which closes the tiddler automatically after Save and Cancel, respectively. I find these very useful. Very often I just want to add a note and because I see it in edit, there's just no need to see it again after Save. Now we even have preview if there's something I want to check during editing.
Now, I can see arguments to keep these, again, as a plugin. I don't know the exact policies for core other than the ambition for it to be minimal. However, to me it makes sense to reason "the more people using it, and the more frequently used, the greater the reason to put in core". I don't know about others, but I use the above two commands muuuch more frequently than, say, exporting features or even the "close others" command. You always save and close, or cancel, for every tiddler you edit so it should be very efficient. BTW, choosing toolbar commands from a menu by simply checking the checkbox to activate it is absolutely wonderful. Feels like a Swedish smorgasboard! <:-) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWikiDev" group.
