As I continue work on my editor project, http://tw5editor.tiddlyspot.com/, I have one annoying glitch, among others, that I haven't solved yet. Everything appears to function as I expect when there is only one tiddler open for editing. When you push the Bold button/icon, the function takes the selected text in the appropriate textedit box and marks it as bold. When there are two or more tiddlers open for editing, sometimes things go wrong and the functions appear to be trying to operate on the first of the two or more open editor textedit boxes. For the functions that operate on a piece of selected text, this isn't really an issue since the other textedit boxes don't have any selected text. A few of the functions though will operate on the entire contents of the box. If they go to the wrong box, then things can go wrong. Part of the issue is that when I click on the button/icon the focus shifts from
It appears that what I need is one of two things. If I had a way of telling where the focus was before the button/icon was pushed, I could re-establish it as the focus. That would be some sort of previous focus function. I'm not sure this is even possible. Alternatively, if I had a way to tell which tiddler contained the button/icon that was pushed, then I could go back to that tiddler and select the appropriate box that way. I'm fairly confident that is possible but I haven't worked out how to do it yet. Has someone worked out a way of doing this and if so point me at a wiki or tiddler that does this? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWikiDev" group.
