Yea. .. In TWclassic there where 3 types of comment syntax:
- {{{ comment }}} ... for wikitext
- /*{{{*/ .... for rendering comments in valid CSS tiddlers
- /* */ for making it invisible for the browsers CSS parser. So the
whole thing is valid CSS
- {{{ .. to make it visible for the TW syntax parser and render the
stuff as comment.
- <!--{{{--> .... for rendering TW comments in valid HTML text
- mechanism is similar to CSS
The problem with all those comments are. They are producing some "output",
so they need work to be done, just to make them invisible again for the
system where it's used.
So the 2 way "compilation" step, that I did suggest, may avoid this
problem, but would introduce quite some complexity ...
