To me, "current tiddler" would definitely confuse things. The systems meaning of current tiddler, i.e the variable, takes some time to understand conceptually and referring to this as something else is just not a good idea IMO. I think the big boys here are just way more skilled in coding so they have a much clearer grasp of the concepts than the typical user does.
