No rush. In fact, maybe leave that alone and consider this other issue instead.
I think there's definitely an issue with the code that was introduced when it went from being just a title picker as in the start of this thread, to adding a list that loops through all the tiddlers tagged $:/tags/EditorMagic. I think when there are multiple possible matches (of different types, widget and title for example), the last one wins, where the order is the tag order. Which means that in the following text with the caret at the end of the text: <$ac [[ << the widget picker is active due to tag order, but wont show any matches. What I fixed with my orginal demo for you is that if there are multiple incomplete matches for title, we only consider the last. However we know have a list which checks for matches for multiple triggers, with no way of deciding which one wins when there are multiple matches.
