You have been subscribed to a public bug by Ove Risberg (ove-risberg):
Run into problem while enrolling an AD-domain with realmd.
Realmd automatically detects what software needs to be installed (samba-
common-bin was among them).
Enrollment broke down though with the error: "Samba-common-bin: Depends:
samba-common (=2:4.1.6+dfsg1Ubuntu2) but 2:4.1.6+dfsg-1ubuntu2.14.04.1
is to be installed.
Manually installing samba-common-bin with apt-get was no problem.
Problem seems to be based that aptd checks Depends: for the package, and
there was two sources defined, main repo and -updates, so there was two
packages with conflicting dependencies.
I solved the problem by installing packagekit, killing the aptd-process
and let packagekit take charge.
** Affects: aptdaemon
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
