Seeing unfortunately anybody else taking the lead, I'll likely issue a
4.4.0 release some time next week (I guess this is the appropriate
version number given there are a few symbol additions)
If there are things that should critically go to the release, it is high
time to submit merge requests. Said otherwise: try master to check if
things are OK
