tiffcrop was the reason, why we have moved this tool and other tools to the archive. IMHO tiffcrop is NOT maintainable! See https://www.asmail.be/msg0055010410.html Yes, for some really rare cases, an issue of tiffcrop could be solved by changing something in the LibTIFF. I am absolutely not keen on getting tiffcrop back. My proposal will be to reactivate and maintain only the tools needed by someone, especially those mentioned by you (fax2ps, tiff2bw, tiffdither, tiff2ps, tiff2pdf, tiffcp). At least as a starting point to go stepwise. Regards, Su -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Tiff [mailto:tiff-boun...@lists.osgeo.org] Im Auftrag von Lee Howard via Tiff Gesendet: Dienstag, 12. Two commits that appear to have been part of the solutions are 5320c9d8 on 2023-10-31 and 42173d6a on 2022-12-08 (which were for the library, generally, and don't necessarily appear to be specific to tiffcrop). I'll continue through the rest of these, but is there anyone who believes that there is good reason to not consider that these issues are resolved already? It kind of looks like maybe tiffcrop was just a convenient utility to access some libtiff inputs which previously went unchecked. Thanks, Lee. _______________________________________________ Tiff mailing list Tiff@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/tiff _______________________________________________ Tiff mailing list Tiff@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/tiff
