This is from the 1.0 tarball using some automated build scripts (so it
is a clean tree every time), it's calling ./build-xorg-7.4 so I don't
get a chance to zap the autom4ate.cache.

If I manually call /usr/local/bin/libtool rather than ../libtool
(or move it out of the way and symlink it)
Then it compiles that file ok, but I can't do that for every directory
for every distro that I need to build for...

I found this in m4/libtool.m4:
# Always use our own libtool.
LIBTOOL='$(SHELL) $(top_builddir)/libtool'
AC_SUBST(LIBTOOL)dnl
But I don't know how to tell it to just use /usr/local/bin/libtool

Any suggestions welcome..

Hmmm, this is all I have recorded from that failure:
libtool: compile: ignoring unknown tag NASM
libtool: compile: ./nasm_lt.sh nasm -felf -DELF jccolmmx.asm -fPIC
-DPIC -o .libs/jccolmmx.o
nasm -felf -DELF jccolmmx.asm -DPIC -o .libs/jccolmmx.o
jcclrmmx.asm:368: error: mismatch in operand sizes
jcclrmmx.asm:369: error: mismatch in operand sizes
[then the build stops]

Do I need to upgrade nasm too?

Thanks
Antoine
