I noticed "view only" password option has been requested on the Feature Request Tracker.
Server-side view-only - ID: 2780072 (April 2009) then again by Add view only password - ID: 2973155 (March 2010) who closed that request as it was a duplicate. I am the author of Fl_TeacherTool (GPL'd classroom management software). My app utilizes VNC for it's core functions. I really want my app to switch to Tiger but I simply can't without the viewonly option. If not, I'm forced to stick with unmaintained Tight VNC 1.3.10. Wodering if there is any work going into this currently or if there are definite plans to add this feature within the near future? If there are others who think this feature should be a priority, please chime in. Sorry for posting this on the users list. I think the devel list is a better place for it.
