Category: FLTK viewer Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Havin_it (havinit) Assigned to: Pierre Ossman (ossman_) Summary: FLTK viewer: restore fullscreen panning behaviour Initial Comment: The FLTK viewer, when launched fullscreen on a screen smaller than the server's display, adds scrollbars to enable scrolling around the whole display. The previous behaviour was "panning": scrolling the display in response to the mouse hitting an applicable screen edge. I consider the old behaviour preferable, because with the scrollbars, one must move the mouse to the right screen edge in order to scroll up/down in the display, which means more extraneous mouse travel any time one intends to use the mouse in the scrolled-to area. Following the cursor is more intuitive as the area the cursor is going to gets exposed automatically. This is especially annoying with a 1024x768 display on a 1024x600 screen, because one gets stuck with a horizontal scrollbar purely *because of* the presence of the vertical bar. I'd hope to see the panning behaviour return, at least as an option, since without it the usability benefits of fullscreen mode are substantially reduced. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1126849&aid=3516414&group_id=254363 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Better than sec?
