Summary: FLTK Viewer Clipboard Regression

Initial Comment:
All testing has been done using DRC's 11-08-2011 builds for the server and the
FLTK viewer. Older TigerVNC 1.1 viewer used for regression testing. The FLTK
viewer copies the clipboard from the Xvnc server just fine. It does not copy
to it at all though. Somehow, the Xvnc clipboard is never updated with the
contents of the Windows clipboard. The vncconfig utility is running with all
clipboard options enabled.

If you use the 1.1 viewer to connect to the same Xvnc/vncconfig setup, it works
perfectly both from the Xvnc to the Windows clipboard and from the Windows
clipboard to the Xvnc clipboard/cutbuffer. I am not sure when this regression
started as the FLTK viewer was basically unusable for day to day work because
of the inverted mouse cursor.

Message:
Since this was a build issue rather than a bug in the code, I'm going to
consider this issue fixed.

Message:
this issue is 'fixed' with my new build of 1.2 w fltk 1.3. however, primary
selection / clipboard work fine from gtk based apps, but do not work from
any qt (thus kde) based app.

Message:
This is possibly related to an issue whereby the build system wasn't
properly setting the HAVE_FLTK_* macros whenever USE_INCLUDED_FLTK=1. I
have re-spun and re-uploaded 1.2 beta1 to hopefully address this. Please
retest with the new packages. They are dated 12/31 with the following file
sizes/MD5 sums:

Message:
It is worth noting that the Java viewer works perfectly and almost
seamlessly with this setup on OSX. Highly impressed with the new Java
viewer. First chance I have had the chance to work with it. The only
catch with copying from the local OSX clipboard to the remote VNC server
clipboard is that if you try to paste contents in the remote server without
switching window focus to the remote session first, it will paste the
previous clipboard contents even if you have updated the local OSX
clipboard. I assume that it uses window focus to know when to update the
remote clipboard. Not a big deal as using X11 middle click pasting is the
only way I know to paste without changing window focus.

Message:
I reran my tests. The 11-08-2011 build's clipboard fully works on OSX.
The 11-23-2011 build does not. It mimics the behavior seen on windows.
You can copy from the VNC server's clipboard easily but you can not copy to
it. What are the differences between the FLTK version in the SVN and the
one you were accidentally still building with? It seems like to me the one
you were accidentally using was much better for clipboard and pointer
presentation...

Message:
I'm certain that all builds are using the included FLTK now, so that can't
be the issue anymore.

Message:
I tried this again with DRC's 11-23-2011 build on Windows and OSX. It
seems to work perfectly on OSX and it only works one way on Windows. You
can copy anything from the remote VNC server but can not copy anything from
the Windows clipboard to the server.

Message:
I can confirm this. I'm also not seeing this in my own builds, so I'm
thinking that it is related to item 3336716 in that the pre-release builds
aren't picking up on the fixes in FLTK.
