Hi all:

I immediately hit these when upgrading: (Windows 7 / 64-bit)

1) My .vnc files no longer work. And it doesn't seem like I can "Save"
options any more? For those of us who use VNC heavily, and have several
of these files to maintain settings, this is a huge step backwards.

2) The logo for vncviewer.exe is missing, which also means that the .vnc
files all looked busted. Is this a bug?

3) Full screen mode now displays scroll bars cutting off the screen and
making it inconvenient to scroll around. It's always been excellent at
this - panning to reach the edges instead of scrollbars, especially when
it only needed an extra pixel or so (I think TigerVNC itself loses a
pixel somehow?). With scroll bars, the interface is effectively unusable
for those of us who use VNC as a remote desktop. Sure, I could make the
resolution of the target display 1344x766 or some odd value and lose
pixels... but why?

I checked the mailing list archives, and I don't think I understand. The
release announcement for TigerVNC 1.2.0 looks empty except for "Enjoy!"
What is the content of the release?

Who asked for these "features"? Removing basic functions that have been
around forever? Seems like a recipe for upset users?

I did notice some menu changes... but they also seem "broken". The
"tabs" don't really go down. The actual body may look a little nicer,
but since it's missing functionality now, the overall result is negative.

Is this the development model we should expect? Why should I use or
recommend to others to use TigerVNC going forwards?

Sorry if this sounds harsh. I don't get it. I hoped to come to the
mailing list and see in the archives explanations for why, but did not
find anything.

My problems immediately fixed by down grading to TigerVNC 1.1.0. From my
perspective, TigerVNC 1.1.0 is nicer than TigerVNC 1.2.0.

Thanks for your attention.
