Well, the issue here is that the server end received a key-down message for 
one or more of those three shift-state keys, and didn't receive the key-up
message.  So, I would think, the connecting client could send the three 
key-ups on connect, or worst, three key-downs followed by three-keyups,
and that should solve the problem. 

If nobody can tell me why that's a *bad* idea, can someone tell me where
RFE's go?  :-)
