To whom it may concern:

Having done the latest update of Fedora 19 yesterday, I noticed that the
tigervnc* modules were upgraded to version 1.3.0-3.fc19.

Unfortunately, this version contains the following bugs:

a) The keyboard is incomplete (in a swiss-french configuration, the / symbol is
missing, amongst others)

b) when hitting the missing keys (Shift-7, or Alt-7 which in swiss-french
represent the / and | symbol respectively, the behaviour becomes weird

In vi, it's all in uppercase, and the keys hit do not match the keyboard
display.

In the status bar, it is as if caps-lock is on, and the functions are restricted

In a terminal or konsole window, the keyboard is locked and nothing works
anymore

The only solution is to logout, from the vnc client, stop the vnc server, and
restart it.

I did this several times, as the phenomen is systematic and can bee reproduced
easily.

Finally, I downgraded the version to 1.2.80-p.15.20130314svn5065.fc19 and
everything went back to normal.

The purpose of this email is to draw attention on above mentioned problems, and
share them with other users that might run in the same situation. Furthermore,
it would be great to receive a fix rapidly, as the above mentioned behaviour
makes it just impossible to work.

I remain at your disposal should you require complementary information, or need
more debugging information.

With kind regards,

Dominique Trine
