I tested this with the 1.3.0 vncviewer and Xvnc provided on sourceforge
and a Windows 7 machine. Unfortunately I could not reproduce the
problem. I could copy things just fine in both directions.

Have you tested a different machine? Or a different desktop environment
in the VNC session? Perhaps there is something interfering with the
clipboard.
