I have no idea which libraries are available for SASL, so I can't give
you a precise answer. But in cases like these it's usually about not
making life difficult for downstream. So any SASL library that is
popular and already widely used in the distributions is probably fine.

Related to this, there is still a lack of documentation for SASL in the
rfbproto spec[1]. So a patch there would also be very helpful. :)
