In a private communication Philipp Koch pointed me to http://www.fightingquaker.com/myid3/ which seems like something we could (/should) reuse. Unfortunately I couldn't find it on the Maven repository and the dependencies are a bit complex, but I guess we could still find a way to use it in Tika. BR, Jukka Zitting
