My rule of thumb is when you think of it as being at an incremental
improvement, just increment the number. When you think it's pretty
much stable, that's 1.0. Don't be like wine and stay at < 1.0 for ten
years and ten years of api updates.

Yeah, the issue was reported and fixed in TIKA-179 [1].
Which raises the question: should we release 0.3 already? I had kind
of been expecting upgrades to POI 3.5-FINAL and PDFBox 0.8-incubating
before releasing Tika 0.3, but as those are still a month or two away
we could just as well release 0.3 as it is now and do a 0.4 release
later with the upgraded dependencies.
