Correction:
I have tested and successfully run the latest Windows build of osm2pgsql
(2.1.1) on Windows 10, but my PostgreSQL database actually runs in a Microsoft
Hyper-V virtual machine instance with Ubuntu 24.04 as the guest operating
system, that I access from the Windows host where osm2pgsql runs.
So no, with my current setup, I cannot test if there is a specific issue with
maintenance_work_mem on PostgreSQL in Windows, but it seems highly unlikely to
me. As said, adding some appropriate virtual memory / paging files on Windows
might help, but the first course of action is adjusting the PostgreSQL
configuration to match the available (RAM) resources of the machine as
@ImreSamu pointed out.
