has worked for lots of people, so the problem is whatever @rgbsi-pp3 (not seen
on github since this report) was trying to do differently.
Re "Ubuntu 26.04" (and flex), that does work; I have run through it on a test
server but not yet written it up. Broadly speaking it differs only where you'd
expect it to differ from Debian 13 ("mapnik/4.2" etc.).
