The main objective of forking is to be able to use dual and quad-core
efficiently. It makes it possible to generate tiles faster than before.
For the moment, forking is done like this:
* one process do the (slow) uploading while another process a new tile
* N process renders the tile at the same time
- during svg rendering, where each process generates different zoom
levels.
- durent png rendering, where each process handles a different part
of the tile.
