Given that I don't own the server and that there many other services run on it (osmxapi, openaerialmap, planet extractor, plus various other things unknown to me). Plus given that I already brought the server to its knees by consuming all available RAM (and more), I'd be rather hesistant to add any other memory consuming things. Although I have sudo rights, I have never installed anything there (and wouldn't do so without getting crschmidt's explicit permission first). Having said all this, if you think it makes sense , it might be a good thing to have. I don't know the distribution of tiles being viewed (I could give you an apache log to work that out).
