If you install ubuntu, installation of TAH is just (you can literally copy and paste this to a terminal): sudo apt-get install xmlstarlet subversion libgd-gd2-perl \ libmath-vec-perl inkscape pngcrush perlmagick zip libwww-perl \ ttf-dejavu libxml-writer-perl libset-object-perl libappconfig-perl \ libxml-xpath-perl libxml-perl libxml-parser-perl libxml-sax-perl \ pngnq optipng svn co http://svn.openstreetmap.org/applications/rendering/tilesAtHome/ cd tilesAtHome cp tilesAtHome.conf.linux tilesAtHome.conf cp authentication.conf.example authentication.conf At this point you can shutdown and post the virtualbox file somewhere for everyone else to use. then edit authentication.conf and put your details, run: ./tilesGen.pl loop and you are making tiles.
