Yes, it is very important as all those clients that can't get data from the API 
will fallback to OSMXAPI, and that is not optimized for region-based map calls. 
In addition it runs on the same box as the [EMAIL PROTECTED] server, so now the 
server has to pull out all the data itself, hand it to the clients and get the 
tiles back. Much less of a distributed effort...

THe result will just be that OSMXAPI is overloaded quite soon.
