Yes, No Data here really means the API did not respond at all, or it threw an
error while responding. So its unfortunate, but the client is acting absolutely
correct here.

"No Data" really always means, API error or Internet connection error. Insofar,
I don't see the problem with the [EMAIL PROTECTED] client.
Do you think it would be beneficial to return even more detailed error
messages? ("No Data (HTTP code 500)") or somesuch?

I just tried it, that piece of empty sea seems to reliably throw an error 500:
