I am trying to import a planet right now (running since thursday) - Though
i am not shure whether the machine will be capable of handling the queries
(Dual Xeon 3.2Ghz 32Bit 4GB Ram) - It should be no problem traffic wise
- It does have a 4 disk raid0 setup with 270GB - Its the biggest i have
available right now. I'd be happy to hand out access to the machine for
others more experienced with setting up the api stuff. Currently i am
looking for a script which is capable of updating the database to the
most current state via the osc diff files - i guess somebody solved
this already.
Last time i tried to import the planet it took:
real 3904m57.117s
user 265m44.460s
sys 72m37.244s
3900 Minutes which is something like 2 3/4 days on this setup - It took
a lot longer (more than a week) when using a hw raid5.
