Hi Thomas, I think those are fairly normal displays - sometimes mine too falls back to ROMA and smaller slices, including the request that is currently rendering (as mentioned I can choose to show or hide the console window): [#415 0% Download] Tileset (12,2159,1346) around 52.35,9.80 (complexity 10165917) [#415 0% Download] Trying ROMA [#415 0% Download] Trying smaller slices [#415 63% tile] Rendering... (Another thing I did was change the properties of my shortcut to use a non-standard console window, using a smaller font and a 132 column display. That way when it does count down the idle time you don't get a line per second, but the new line overlays the previous one, and you get much more meaningful information on the screen.) Having said that 242 minutes does look like quite a lot of idle time, but if that is in total over 48 tiles then it is about 5 minutes per tile. This does seem high to me, but perhaps you do have some timeout issues in the download; perhaps the link from you to the server gets particularly busy? Closing the windows client will bring up the "hidden" console window when you close it before the tiles generation thread has reached the point where it looks for a stopfile; the thread will carry on until it finds it, or until you click the cross to close the console Window. After you click "Stop TAH" button in the Windows client, it won't actually stop instantly but will continue until the tilesgen thread finishes (which may be over an hour on my machine for more complex tiles) at which point the Update and Start buttons are re-enabled.
