Of course, I noticed that you are on Linux and Olf was on Windows, but this 
seems to be an issue with system locale (however it is set) and Inkscape.

Olf reported the same problem, and what solved it for him was:

 

I changed my windows system setting to '.' as decimal separator again - 

',' as decimal seems to

cause the error.
