The stable client works with the same settings, I did a simple
cp tilesAtHome.conf.linux tilesAtHome.conf
cp authentication.conf.example authentication.conf
vim authentication.conf

Running Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10

After a clean checkout I get:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tilesAtHome_unstable$ ./tilesGen.pl upload
- Using working directory /tmp
- Pngcrush version 1.6.6
- pngnq version 0.5
- Java version 1.6 is available
- ImageMagick version 6.3.7 (lowzoom disabled)
This is version 11799 (Trondheim) of tilesgen running on linux, ID: 2987
Use of uninitialized value in string eq at ./tilesGen.pl line 552.
could not read /tmp/uploadable at lib/Upload.pm line 86.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tilesAtHome_unstable$

Now I have absolutely no idea what's going on :(
