Hi René, I tried your patch on the latest unstable version and it seems to work fine. I have to admit that I didn't test it exhaustively, but I didn't notice any problems. CPU utilization is much better on my multicore machine and there don't seem to be errors in the rendered tiles. Thanks for your great work.
