Trapi is a read-only version of the openstreetmap api that uses fewer
resources than Roma. With filtered tags and a partition optimized for
it, it uses about 16 gigabytes of disk space and a single trapi seems
to be able to handle the full ti...@home requests pretty easily.

Documentation is at: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Trapi
Source is in the openstreetmap svn.

There are currently three trapi servers on the trapi load-ballancer,
and two others I know of.

If you have a ti...@home render farm, you can save download bandwidth
by installing a local trapi.

With Microsoft, failure is not an option. It is a standard feature.
