Do you only want to serve  t...@h-tiles?
If not you should ask Firefishy (Grant Slater, OpenStreetMap Server 
Admin) for details, he is currently looking for another tile server to 
serve mapnik tiles.
The current tile server (one machine only) has a traffic of 4.8TB/month
More infos can be found in the Wiki, maybe it is also better to ask the 
dev-list.
