I have also purchased a Datum 9390-5533 from EBay and am also only an electrical engineer (retired). It powers up OK, but never achieves lock. The 10 MHz output is sweeping about 20 Hz p-p. Any hints or suggestions and even better a copy of the manual in any form would be appreciated. I am willing to buy the manual or a copy etc. HELP PLEASE, would sure like to get this unit working.
I do have a PDF copy of the 9390-6000 or 6010 manual. It's similar but not the same, it's for a much newer unit. I admit to being only an engineer but the menu set-up for initial conditions baffles me. Can anyone on here help. It seems there are bound to be a lot of them out there. Google did not turn up anything of use. While the large display of the 468 was nice, I would be content with the display on the 9390. The 1 PPS output is a plus. Any help would be appreciated and of course returned in kind if needed. Thanks - Mike Mike B.
