Hi Robert, > Did you ever find a STEL-1173? No luck so far. I have been looking. One firm in the US said on their web they had them, but when asking them for a price they all of a sudden didn't have it as they had ceased to use that particular Asian firm. They also where unable to tell me which firm that was. I am currently probing around in China, Taiwan and Hong-Kong areas but no breakthrough yeat. > I've got a good one on a scrap PCB. Please, I would *really* apprechiate it! Moving the chip over is no problem, a PLCC 44 replacement is not a challenge but an insult to my competent friend and colleage at work. We have the tools and the competence behind the tools. I will keep looking for the STEL-1173 since I have a feeling I might run into this issue again. :-) Robert have been very supportive and patient while having me learn more and more of the nitty gritty and trying to diagnose what's wrong with my Cesium. I was just on the brink to clone the chip in a FPGA. The only thing caussing me some headache is the size of the SIN/COS table. Maybe people would apprechiate that piece of code anyway. I've done DDSes in ASIC and FPGA before, so that's not a problem.
