Yes, keeping the time synced to less than 1 S is preferred. Afterall, if I'm going to bother doing this, I should at least shoot for that. > How much is the current RTC drifting? I don't have any hard numbers yet. My next step is to log the drift. I know that right now, it drifts much more than is desired. The real problem is that the time gets set initially and then just drifts until someone notices that the time is way off and resets it manually.
