Hi Lee, no, I havent seen it jump like that. Loran is pretty innaccurate, I think you will be pleased with the improvement you can get from the M12M. They are just great little buggers.
Just make sure to turn the M12M TRAIM on, and set the limit to 100ns or so (it's 1000ns by default I think).
