I work for Agilent. In my lab I have both an 8568B and an 8566B. How would I read out the contents of the eproms? I don't know much about eproms.
I looked up that part number; it is an AMD27C256-200DC. There are a bunch of reliability reports on it, so that sort of confirms that yours may likely have failed.
