The new manual looks great, Ulrich. I could imagine Abdul wanting to ship a copy of EZGPIB with every board he sells. It sure beats Hyperterm!
Along those lines, one of the things that he is doing in his next board revision is eliminating the DIP switch in favor of storing the address and device/control mode settings in EEPROM. Consequently, he is going to need some kind of software configuration utility to help users read and alter those settings. You guys should get together and see if it's feasible to add a "Board configuration" option to the menu. Any thoughts on the possibilities of open-sourcing EZGPIB? -- john, KE5FX -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ulrich Bangert Sent: Saturday, January 13, 2007 6:13 AM To: Time nuts Subject: [time-nuts] EZGPIB Hi folks, this is to inform you that i managed to write a basic user manual for my EZGPIB utility that uses a PROLOGIX USB GPIB interface to communicate with GPIB based instruments. I guess without that manual the purpose and capabilities of EZGPIB will not be easily recognized. The manual can be downloaded from http://www.ulrich-bangert.de/ezgpib.pdf and the complete utility with examples from http://www.ulrich-bangert.de/ezgpib.zip Have fun with it and send me your feedback for improvements!
