Surely. Tubes are another interest of mine, but I only really deal with audio stuff. One of my ham friends tried to ease my fear of RF equipment by telling me that RF gear was basically just audio gear with chokes/coils and tuned circuits. Didn't help aleviate my hesitation of getting into it.
