Hi Mark, no need to use your Z12 ... supply the antenna with +5V-DC and put an amplifier between antenna and a spectrum analyzer. You will see the noise of the L1 and (hopefully ;-) ) L2 amplifier in the antenna. Btw. L1 chokering ants are not unusual ... except in surveying. A L1 surveying chokering is "a little bit higher" in price than a normal L1 surveying ... as long as you buy it from the manufacturer and not from a surveying company ;-)
