Mark, I was referring to the MV89A, yes, and I think the original query was to that as well. I presume mine is faulty and have not managed to get it open to investigate further, but the output on a spectrum analyser looks pretty grim, so it's in the big box of "things to look at one day"...

It depends what you mean by any good.  I bought one and it has what is to me, 
an unacceptable level of spurious signals on the 10 MHz output, some very close 
to the desired output.  Not just the fundamental 5 MHz and 15 but others.

There are some spectrum plots around that show this also, so it's not just mine.
